Our current café and catering chapter took shape in 2017 when SES NSW welcomed Greenacres into their Head Office to open Brewing Up a Storm. As a purpose-drive social enterprise, this site became a vibrant example of what inclusive hospitality could look like, bringing together great food, genuine connection and meaningful employment in a mainstream environment. In 2025, Brewing Up a Storm was rebranded to Greenacres Cafés and Catering to reflect our expanding footprint and our commitment to creating more opportunities across the region.

Following the success at SES, we expanded into Warrigal Shell Cove, Wollongong City Council and, most recently, Shellharbour Airport. Each site plays an important role in creating hands-on training, skill development and employment pathways for people of all abilities, offering opportunities to build confidence, learn new skills and thrive in supportive, everyday workplaces. Our central commercial kitchen at Shellharbour Airport also produces fresh, high-quality catering for organisations across the Illawarra.

Greenacres Cafés and Catering is more than a place to enjoy a meal or pick up a coffee. It is a visible example of inclusion in action, where every interaction contributes to a workplace culture built on respect, purpose and belonging.

As our presence continues to grow, our purpose remains the same: to serve food with purpose and coffee that makes a difference, creating a more inclusive community one shift, one smile and one coffee at a time.
